If I can prize the camera of the mrs, I can get some snaps up.
I couldn't afford it and shouldn't have got it.

But well worth it for the smile it puts on your face when you pick it up. :good:
Solid and robust and feels so much nicer than the mp40.

It would appear Gunner is adding a bit of a UK mark up, or their conversion software is out of whack. The conversion on XE.com comes out at £77 pound just now but gunner's own conversion is £93.

He he, no worries fella, I've been using t'internet long enough to have had my fair share of moments like that! It was rather fortunate actually as I'd done my estimate using Gunner's own conversion drop down menu selection but your post highlighted that difference in price so I checked again using xe.com. Good thing is I guess when buying from Gunner or similar that it's the PayPal exchange rate that decides not the retailers system.

:D

Got mine in the post Friday from Scotland. As was expected the Li-Po that came was not very good quality and I have fitted a 7.4v 1200MaH 15c lipo that I used on one of my heli's with a small Tamiya connector and it works a treat.
I was thinking of getting a spare, has anyone found any quality Li-Po's suitable in the UK. I thought this looked pretty good and a fair price too:

£12.10
Capacity: 1300mAh 2S1P
Weight: 79g
Max Discharge Current: 26A Continuous 45.5A Burst
Max Charge Current: 1300mA
Max Charged Voltage: 8.5V 4.25V per cell
Min Discharged Voltage: 6.0V 3.0V per cell
Wire gauge: 16awg High temperature silicon.

A 7.4V LiPo, luverly juberly! I must admit I haven't done any real research int LiPos yet so I'd only seen the 11v ones. Something with a lower v otage is what I would be after to keep the rate of fire down to a more sensible level.

I've not seen a single review of the AGM yet, just ones for the VIVA. I'll perhaps do one when I get mine but that is at least several weeks away yet.

Found this last night, the second review is quite comprehensive. Roll on September!

I would have to agreed with the reviews..Great Gun to use. Let down by the terrible battery. But get a good one and its superb!! There is no need for an adjustable hop unit either. I use .25 bb's in all my AEG's and this shoots great. Straight, true, excellent grouping!

I have to agree with biguk and the reviewer on airsoft world , oe battery is crap but fitted with a decent Li-Po it's excellent fun!
I was going to ask on here about the mod to enable the hop to be adjusted but I'm going to hold off until I have skirmished with it. In my garden it shoots much better than it probably should do as it is :happyswing:

I can also confirm what the reviews say. My only problem is that the beebs fly up after about 30m. Easy solved with heavier beebs I guess, but it was .25's I was using! Gonna get the hop tweaked so it doesn't put so much spin on the rounds, and after that, it's not gonna need touched again (in a modifying sense!). Firing at 320-325 fps.

Always reminds me of some of the odd snooker shots when they do that.

Took a wee trip to AW, and the helpful gunmonkeys only went and made my sten more awsome!! It now consistently hits the same area at 40m, then starts to drop. That was with 0.25's. Canny wait to get it into a fight next weekend now!!

The issue is that the hop bucking is actually a spring, laid on its side. but after they replaced it with something a little less ...springy....it has settled the hop right down. Outstanding.

Viva is full auto only as well. There's just not the space around the gearbox to add in any sort of semi-auto mechanism.

Would there be space in with the lipo battery to add a semi auto MOSFET circuit?

That's all very well, but then you'd need to find a way to set the timing of the circuit.

All the commercial and hobby mosfet circuits use the mechanical semi auto to set the timing. Either directly by sampling the mechanical timing itself or by using the trigger mech as a control system on the microprocessor to allow the user to adjust the timing manually.

I've tried using a 555 timer myself in my Garand to do an electronic semi auto and I hit all sorts of problems... as you know the cycle time of the AEG changes depending on the charge in the battery... etc!

So possible... but fraught with difficulties...

Plus of course the actual semi auto button on a sten goes right through where the gearbox is so would be impossible to replicate.

In the end I find it quite easy to pull off single shots when the gun is on semi-auto anyway... :)
